Samuel Agyapong, an educationist and research specialist with 8 years of experience, is dedicated to enhancing access to higher education for young people in sub-Saharan Africa through evidence-based approaches. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education at the University of Cambridge as a Cambridge Africa Changemaker Scholar, Samuel holds an M.Phil. and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.

Prior to his Ph.D., Samuel served as a Senior Research Manager at Education Sub-Saharan Africa (ESSA), where he supported the implementation of continental research projects. These projects included studies on the demographics of African Faculty, women's leadership in African higher education, and career service research programs across 4 African countries.

Before joining ESSA, Samuel worked as a program and research associate at the Association of African Universities, Africa's apex continental higher education body. In this role, he facilitated professional development workshops across 15 African countries and contributed to the implementation of continental initiatives such as the African Centres of Excellence, Continental Education Strategy for Africa, and the Science Granting Councils Initiative.

Samuel's expertise also extends to teaching, where he has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting young people in achieving their potential. With a passion for youth development through education, Samuel continues to make significant contributions to the field.
