Onyeka Awunor

Onyeka Awunor is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge under the School of Biological Sciences’ Doctoral Training Program (SBS DTP). Her doctoral research is centred on the role of bacterial multidrug transporters in antibiotic resistance.

Onyeka obtained a BSc degree in Industrial Chemistry from Bingham University before completing an MSc in Pharmacology at the University of Oxford. She also holds the position of Junior Treasurer on the Wolfson College 2024 May Ball committee and serves as a student representative member on the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion committee at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge.

She is a member of the Biochemical Society and British Pharmacological Society. During her leisure time, she enjoys writing poetry and reading novels.
