Kay Kwarteng is PhD researcher at the Department of Chemistry in the University of Cambridge. Prior to his Ph.D., he obtained a Joint master’s degree in chemical Nanoengineering from the Aix-Marseille University, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, and the University of Rome. His research focuses on designing reactors for light-driven organic transformations coupled with hydrogen generation. His experimental and modelling approach to research aims to make monolithic photoreactors that can increase the TRL of photocatalysis. He hopes to establish a research institute on solar energy technologies in Ghana after his research career. Kay writes poetry on diverse topics and enjoys board games in his free time.
