Welcome to the Cambridge Africa Conference, an annual gathering hosted by the African Society of Cambridge University (ASCU), dedicated to exploring and addressing the critical issues facing the African continent. At this esteemed event, we bring together passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, united in our commitment to driving progress, fostering community, and catalyzing growth for all Africans, both at home and abroad.
With each iteration of the conference, we delve into the multifaceted challenges and opportunities shaping Africa's trajectory, drawing upon the expertise of thought leaders, policymakers, and industry trailblazers from across the continent. Through engaging panels, keynote addresses, and interactive workshops, we tackle pressing topics such as economic development, governance, healthcare, education, sustainability, and beyond.
One of the hallmarks of the Cambridge Africa Conference is the opportunity to hear firsthand from prominent African political and industry leaders. Their insights provide invaluable perspectives on the current state of the continent and offer actionable strategies for charting a course towards a brighter future. By fostering dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, we aim to inspire innovative solutions and empower individuals to effect positive change within their communities and beyond.
Join us as we come together to envision and shape a more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable Africa. Together, we can harness the collective potential of the continent and forge a path towards a better tomorrow for all Africans.
AYATUTU
Signifies a call to action, unity and brotherhood by the Tiv tribe of Benue state Nigeria, in west Africa. This call which is typically echoed as “Ayatutu Ka uno?” and met with the enthusiastic shout of “Ka se!” is directly translated as “who are the Ayatutu’s?” and the response “that’s us!” signifies the willingness of the people to come together and unite for the common good of one another.
This year, in the 10th year of the African society and her annual conference, we are called to a continual interconnectedness as the sense of community-ship we have shown through the years has led to our collective tremendous growth; as a community. We are called to unity and to more growth in the spirit of AYATUTU.
